I now have a long list of exhibitors and will be meeting with Pascale Jacquot (vice president of FAB PO) and the Mairies assistant on Thursday to prepare the plan of exhibitors. At this time anyone who has not contacted me will now go on a waiting list until after the meeting.

PO Christmas Fayre

Xmas Fair - Sunday 27th November 2011

The Mairie of St Jean Pla de Corts has contacted us again to assist him in organising the Xmas fair. For those that would like to apply to exhibit please email me info@domainetreloar.com

what your are proposing to sell,
whether you need an electrical socket,
whether you need wall space,
what advertising you are able to undertake for the fair email, distribution of brochures etc

The price of the stand will be the same as last year €10 per 2 metre stand but this year BUT you will need to provide your own table this year as the Mairie does not have his tables at this building anymore.

If you know of anyone else who might be interested in exhibiting please get them to email me - preference will be given to those that exhibited last year and we will try to avoid duplicate stands/stands selling the same thing.

Meeting

I would like to call a meeting on 3rd November at 6.30 pm at Domaine Treloar, 16 Traverse de Thuir, Trouillas where the a new president, secretary and tresurer positions need to be appointed - if you are interested in any of the following please email me.

We will also discuss any issues for the Xmas fair and make the list of exhibitors for the Mairie's approval.

Epidemic of gastric flu

FIVE regions are affected by an outbreak of gastroenteritis, an illness causing diarrhea and vomiting.

They are all above the “epidemic” level (204 cases per 100,000 of the population).

Those concerned, according to the Sentinelles network, which monitors illness trends, are Poitou-Charentes (212), Languedoc-Roussillon (250), Centre, Alsace (371) and Limousin (700).

Elsewhere in France levels are fairly low, no more than 132 cases on average.

Also known as gastric flu, it is an inflammation of the stomach and intestine, unrelated to ordinary flu. It is usually caused by a virus.

While unpleasant, doctors say it is rarely serious apart from in babies and the elderly.
